Architect

Luísa Penha

Was born in Porto, 1982.

Graduated from FAUP in 2008 with a final grade of 16 values, and received the Engineer António de Almeida award for the highest classification. In 2010 completed the Master’s degree.

Collaborated with Nuno Brandão Costa between 2006 and 2013 where projects were developed in different areas, in Portugal and abroad. Highlights include the Municipal Library of Caminha, the Sidónio Pais House-Museum in Caminha, the EB / JI School of Padrão in Matosinhos, the Hörnli Crematorium in Basel, the exhibition project for the Lisbon Architecture Triennial 2007, at the Cordoaria Nacional, among others.

Participated as co-author in various international competitions.

Collaborated with Eduardo Souto de Moura since 2013, where several projects were developed such as the House in Zagreb and the Doors Installation in London. Author of several projects, including the transformation of two apartments in Edifício Empório, Porto. Attending the Doctoral Program in Architecture at ULP since 2014.

1st place in the competition for the Portuguese Pavilion at EXPO’92 in Seville.

Wins 1st Prize in Innovative Ideas for the Porto Water Tanks contest – SMAS, Porto.
