Nuno Brandão da Costa

Born in Porto, 1970.

Graduated in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto in 1994.

Assistant at the Faculty of Architecture of Porto since 1999.

Collaborated with Herzog & de Meuron, in Basel, Switzerland, between 1991 and 1993 and with the architects José Fernando Gonçalves & João Paulo Providência, in Porto between 1993 and 1998.

Started his own practice as an independent architect in 1998, where he developed several public and private projects.

Revelation and Merit Award Express / SIC – 12 years
1st Prize – public competition for the Ramalde Market project in Porto (in co-authorship with João Paulo Loureiro)

2nd Prize – International public competition for the design of the Chancellery and Residence at the Embassy of Portugal in Berlin

1st Prize – international public competition for the project of the Central Library of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the New University of Lisbon.

2nd Prize – public tender for the project of the Library Hub of Health Sciences of the University of Coimbra.
